New Apartment, New Job, and New Car all in one week.

Our New Apartment...
We got our keys to our new Apartment on the 1st Feb. Monday. Then on Tuesday we moved everything into our new place.

Our old apartment is on the Right and New Apartment on the Left.

We just changed our apartment number from J405 to J406. This was one of the easiest moves that we have ever done. We are so grateful that we could move into a bigger place. We love the space that we have now. We now have two bed rooms and two bathrooms.

Abby's New Job...

Abby found a new job working with IHC as a Costumer Representative. It is a full time job and will be steady hours. She will have really good health insurance. This job she applied for in November and got a phone call about an interview on 3rd of February (Wednesday), had an interview on Thursday, and was offered the job on Friday. We are so excited about this new job. She starts her new job this week.

Our New Car...

We had to get a new car because our Malibu was giving us a lot of problems. We had it in the shop for a week to find out what was wrong with it, When we went to pick it up on Friday the mechanic told Wesley it was most likely a thrown rod and would be around $3000 to fix it (a new engine). He said, "Well personally I think your car is possessed and I wouldn't bother putting that much money into it. If it was me, I'd go trade it in for a different vehicle." Kinda odd to hear that from a mechanic we thought.
We learned all this on the 5th of February, yeah the same day Abby got her new job, and on the 6th, Saturday we were able to find a great deal on a 2007 Ford Edge with only 22000 miles on it. We had been saving up for a new car, just wasn't planing on getting one until the middle of summer. We know that all these things happened for a reason and we are so blessed.

Harlem Globetrotters

We were invited to the Harlem Globetrotters with a friend. It was for Wesley's and my Birthday that he treated us to this great show. We went to dinner first and then went to the game. We had some great laughs at the Harlem Globetrotters.

Big Buddha (Fox 13 News) was a part of the show and it was so funny to watch. I wish we knew what bet he lost that made him wear a dress and wig for the game.

We went to the car show again this year. We went with some friends and met up with Allen also. It was a lot of fun. Wesley really had a lot of fun looking at all the cars and getting inside to look at them all.

Bringing in the New Year...

NEW YEARS...

New Years day before heading to Payson for the weekend my parents invited us to go to lunch with them. We decided to go to Applebee's because it was one of the only places open. While we were there the Fire alarm started to go off. We had gotten our drinks and appetizer but weren't able to pay for what we had gotten because the fire department showed up and closed Applebees for the day. Wesley and I end up just grabbing McDonalds on our way to Payson.

While we were in Payson for the weekend we saw Avatar in 3d with Robert, Clarissa, David, Shel, Daniel, and Ariel. It was a good movie but it was long. On Saturday we went sledding at one of the elementary schools in Payson. Laura was able to drive down to come with us. Here is a lot of photos of us sledding.

2009 to 2010

Things that happened in 2009

Feb. - Wesley's 23rd birthday on the 23rd. So we did a big birthday party for him.
March - Abby's 24th Birthday. We were also able to go to Cali. for a friends wedding.
May - Abby graduated from the University of Utah with her Bachelor's Degree.
June - We celebrated our 1 year anniversary. Pama and Papa came to Utah to stay for a few months.
Aug. - Abby got a new part time Job working for Our365.
Sept. - Wesley took his Phlebotomy class to become a nationally certified phlebotomist, and we welcomed Daniel home from his mission.
Nov. - Abby had to have Surgery to get her tonsils removed.

Here was just a few things that happened in 2009. We are so Thankful for the experiences we had and the things we learned, good or bad. Although 2009 seemed like it was a pretty stressful year we got through it on top and now we are ready to start a new one. We know that there is so much more that we could talk about but these are only a few of the events stand out to us. We are excited for 2010 so we can set new goals for ourselves.

Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve we were invited to go to my sister-in-laws parent's house for dinner and activities. My parents and some of my brothers and sisters were able to come to. It was a lot of fun being around family. Thank you Brittany for inviting us to come and be with your family.

Wesley and I opened up our gifts on Christmas Eve because I had to work early the next morning. It was really nice to do our little Christmas before all the family stuff. This year we got a Wii for both of us. That was the big gift this year for us. Wesley surprised me with a GARY FONG light for my camera. I was really surprised and he did a really good job, even through the store gave him the wrong size for my camera. I surprised Wesley with New Snow GLOVES. They were ones he had been looking at for a long time. We got a few other things like a new shirt, perfume/cologne, and new PJs for each of us.

Christmas Afternoon...

We went to my aunt Lois's house this year for lunch and to play some games. The little kids had a lot of fun playing with the puppies, well most of the kids.

Christmas Night...

After we were done at aunt Lois's house we went back to my parents house to exchange gifts there. Laura had us this year. She got us a picture of the Salt Lake Temple. I had been looking at this temple picture forever. It is the Salt Lake Temple with a tree in front of it with red leaves. My parents gave us an ottoman that holds our games, controllers, and Guitar Hero stuff. We really love it because now our house looks less cluttered.

This year we had a great Christmas with my parents. A few days before Christmas we were able to make a trip down to Payson to do Christmas with Wesley's family. We went to see Christmas lights as a family and then got dinner at Applebees. This Year I had Daniel for Christmas and I got him a body pillow, he loved it. Wesley had Cody and got him a gift card to Cabela's because everything he really wanted was back ordered and we thought it would be easier to just give a gift card. Cody had Wesley and he got him a blu-ray movie, Clarssia had my name and I got me a new sweater and some lotion. From Wesley's parents we got a Blu-Ray player with a few blue ray movies so we could have something to watch on it. They also got us a new game for our Wii.
