2nd Wedding Anniversary

JUNE 19, 2010

Our 2nd wedding anniversary we were in Payson because Wesley spent the week in Payson helping out his grandparents while his parents were in Florida. My mom took me to Provo and I met up with Wesley Friday night. Saturday was our Anniversary. We were able to sleep in and take it easy for the most of the day. Wesley and Scott (our cousin) were trying to fix Scott's old Xbox. They were having a lot of fun working together. I didn't mind that they were fixing his Xbox.

About 5:00pm we met up with Tiffany and Kevin at Sakura's (a Japanese Steakhouse) for dinner. We weren't able to make it for Tiffany's birthday the weekend before so we invited them to meet up with us for dinner. Wesley and I really wanted a Japanese Steakhouse and the place we usually go to was closed for some reason, so we decided to try this new place. It was really good. It was different, but we were able to have a really good time together.

After dinner Wesley and I went and got Caramel Apples for a treat, we got enough to share with every one at the Keesler's house in Payson. We also got a treat for Fluff because I thought it would be fun and cute at the same time.

We got a new game for our Anniversary. We found it at Target. We were going to just make a home-made version of the game but we decided we should just go and get it. We friends (thanks Phil and Laura!) a few weekends before who introduced us to Qwirkle, it was a easy and fun game. After dinner and snacks we played games.

I am so thankful for Wesley and that we have been together. Although our anniversary plans didn't turn out like we had hoped, we really had a good time. I am just happy we got to spend it together. It was good that we were able to be there to help Pama and Papa when they needed help. I love Wesley so much each day. I am so grateful we could be together and are able to share our Anniversary with Family and each other.

This wasn't the only exciting news of our ANNIVERSARY....
Timothy's phone call around midnight made our Anniversary one to remember.

Big Move at Work

There was a big move at work a few weeks ago and so I wanted to document it. We all had to pack up our own desks and then be out of the old building by 5:00pm. It was exciting to do something different at work. It was a big change for us all. I love to document what is going on in life and this is just something small that went on.

I just thought it looked so different having everything all packed up and all cleaned up.

LAS VEGAS
...
A mini vacation down to Las Vegas before going to St. George for Daniel and Ariel's Wedding. Wesley and I tried to take small vacation before going to Daniel and Ariel's wedding. We had a few car troubles before we left so we weren't able to send as much time as we wanted to in Vegas. We still had a fun time just hanging out with each other and not worrying about life.

While we were at the coke store we had to get a coke and we thought were pretty cool that we got them in a glass bottle.

Wesley had to take a picture of the men's bathroom in the Hilton Hotel.

Employee Appreciation Week

At Abby's work it was employee appreciation week the second week of May. To celebrate everyone turned the office into a giant Clue game. Our department chose The Library. At first everyone was decorate their own desks, Abby's and Andrea's desks looked so good the department lead decided to have them decorate the rest of their department. Here are some of the decorations.

Not sure what kind of chess game this is, but a Lady from Bosnia brought the chess board, its not your regular looking board.

Abby was asked to make a chair and a couch to put on a long wall. She made them all out of paper, they turned out really good. Everyone at her work wanted them to be real so they could sit on them.

Wednesday night after seeing Iron Man 2

We were traveling home from the movies and in front of us a big white Ford Explorer was driving a little crazy. Wesley stayed back and was ready to call the police because they were almost hitting people. They drove up onto the sidewalk hitting rocks and almost hitting a sign, then came back onto the road and almost hit a car. Then they swerved again hitting two signs and taking out almost 50 ft of fence before rolling into a creek. Luckily a tree stopped them from rolling down into the water but they were turned onto the passenger side. Wesley pulled over and rushed down the hill to help the people along with a few others. There were a lot of other people who were there to help too, but there wasn't much anyone could do. The man driving wasn't wearing his seat belt so he fell on top of the girl in the passenger seat. He was out cold foaming and bleeding out of his mouth, but the girl was screaming and trapped. Others called 911 and it was only a few minutes before paramedics arrived. The man gained consciousness when they pulled him out, but was really out of it, he kept yelling and pushing away the paramedics, it took 6 of them to strap him to the back board. They had to cut the girl out of the car because she was pinned in. Turns out the guy had a seizure. This made for a very interesting night after the movies.

In the video you can see Abby and Timothy (Wesley's brother) standing in the background, Wesley was a few feet away filling out a police report.

Wesley's IV Class

Wesley's IV Class

Wesley got Nationally Certified in Phlebotomy last October and wanted to get more training so he took an IV class this month. He hopes to find a job soon doing both or either one. He really enjoys it and has become pretty good at it.

Like his Phlebotomy class they had a "Friends and Family" night to practice. We had quite a few people come help.
I kind of bled a little when Wesley was putting the I.V. tubes in place.

Wesley practicing on me. The instructor had us stop and pose for this picture

The IV catheter pinched in my arm. Wesley has it pinched so it doesn't bleed everywhere.

The inside of the arm is pretty painful!

Megan didn't want to watch so she's concentrating on something else.

Megan's arm with a syringe of fluid

The Howells came to help, Chad let Wesley practice too.
Aubrey, Jennidee, Chad and Wesley

He got a whole bag of fluids.
Jennidee wanted some bandages like her Dad so we wrapped her arms up, She was very happy about it.

Kris getting a full I.V. bag, you can't see it, but he drained the entire bag in about 15 minutes, he must have been pretty dehydrated.

This is Scott's arm. There is blood everywhere because while Wesley was was placing the catheter the needle filled up with blood so fast the back of it fell off (The little plastic piece next to his arm). Blood was just pumping straight out until Wesley could get it pinched off.

More pictures of the bloody mess on Scott.
Don't worry we cleaned up the mess after pictures.

Scott also got a full bag of fluids (Which when you get at a hospital your insurance is usually charged about $285 per bag!).

Thank you to everyone who came to help out!!
